The Reuban 5 Eye is built with the very much loved soles as seen in Doc’s originals. The air-cushioned soles give a nice bounce to the feet, many users find the feel similar to their favorite 1460 or other Doc boots. Another highlight of the shoe is the hi suede. The Reuban is covered by fine suede with very nice colors and texture, as the result of extra fine sanding. Each shoe also comes with shoe laces in the same color. These detailings from upper to bottom show you a good craftsmanship behind it. Perhaps this is why the price of the Reuban sneaker is not too much different from some of the boots in the originals.
While summer is the season for boat shoes, you may feel like having something in a similar style, but also different. The Reuban low-top sneaker with a nice solid cushioned sole can be what you like. It certainly gives your feet support on the land and the style is awesome as well!
Fit
These shoes only come in whole sizes. It can take a while to get just the right fit sometimes. It is generally true to size; but if you order it online, it is suggested to order a slightly bigger size with the retailers who have easy return service.
Upper / outsole
The shoe uses perforated fine suede and a padded collar, which sits atop chunky white soles, serving up an athletic, casual vibe. The shoe includes these iconic features such as grooved sides, stitching, a heel loop and the famous AirWair technology sole. The classic Ghillie lacing system gives the right amount of elegance, as a great contrast to the rebellious Doc’s attitude.
