The Carilyn is a such a sweet sneaker to many people. Even though it is a shoe with a narrow toe box, it does not stop them loving this shoe and wear it. It has UGG features to pamper your feet with, like foam and cushioning in the footbed, and UGGpure™ lining in the heel for perfect fit. Not to mention the grosgrain laces, which are heavily ribbed fabrics, that add a magical touch to the total look!
Size and fit
The shoe runs a bit small. It may be necessary to go a size up. In width, this shoe tends to be bit narrow in the toe box. Some users succeed expanding the shoe with the usual tips or wearing it around the house with slightly thick knee socks until it stretched.
It may not be a perfect shoe to go travelling overseas; but it is certainly perfect and comfortable for everyday life.
Outsole / midsole
The shoe is built with soft memory foam and PORON® cushioning in the footbed. Poron is a protective foam product and used by many outdoor brands. With some advantages over other padding methods, it doesn’t get thinner with prolonged use. This will ensure the long-lasting comfort of the shoe after frequent wears. The heel cup is lined in UGGpure, using real luxurious shorn wool woven into a durable backing. It is moisture-wicking and crafted to feel and wear like genuine shearling. Just like most UGG shoes, the Carilyn comes with a rubber outsole for durable wear. This makes the shoe is both comfy and light to wear.
Upper
The upper features durable suede and leather and the textile lining gives a good breathability. The top of the shoe features textile lace-up bow detailing.
The leather shoe comes in three colors, demitasse, black and stormy grey. All are very gorgeous and versatile for dressing up or down.
